Important dates:
v Deadline to file an appeal is APRIL 1, of each tax year for all counties except Monmouth, Gloucester and Burlington. May 1 is the deadline if your town went through a revaluation/reassessment for the current tax year.
v MONMOUTH COUNTY, GLOUCESTER COUNTY AND BURLINGTON COUNTY DEADLINE IS JANUARY 15 OF EACH TAX YEAR. January 15 is the deadline to file an appeal even if your town is going through a revaluation/reassessment for the current tax year..
v NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT: They are extremely important. The notices of assessment are sent to each homeowner on or before February 1, of each tax year. If your property is in MONMOUTH, GLOUCESTER or BURLINGTON COUNTY your notice is sent to you on or before NOVEMBER 15 of the pre-tax year. All counties: if you receive your notice of assessment late, you have 45 days to file an appeal from the mail date on the notice.
